Colorful Copper Leaves

Colorful Seasons copper 1

I am so happy that it is finally starting to feel like fall here in Texas!  I wanted to create some cards to celebrate the season!  One of the bundles that I will treasure for a long time is the Colorful Seasons bundle!  It is a must have for a new stamper too! It covers all the seasons and has such beautiful dies to coordinate with the images!  Not to mention the paper, color combos, and accessories to boot!

Part of my monthly stamp club includes a technique.  The members get a sample of the technique and a small blurb that explains how to create it again.  When they first join, they receive a journal to put these in so they have it to look back on for a handy (and pretty) reference!

This card plays up the Emboss Resist technique.  I just switched the embossing powder to Copper!  I then used Sponge Daubers to rub Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler.  (in that order)  I started with the middle of the leaf towards the stem.  I only used the Cherry Cobbler on the tips of the leaves.  I then cut them out as well as one Copper Foil leaf.

I just love how the Copper Foil, Copper Embossing Folder, and Copper Thread make this card pop!

Painted Fall Flowers

JVHL4014

I LOVE this bundle!  I have heard that the Painted Harvest Bundle has been our top seller from the Holiday Catalog!  Do you need a copy mailed to you?  Let me know!

I made this one for our monthly club.  I stamped the smaller of the sunflowers with Pumpkin Pie and then followed it with Crushed Curry for the bigger flower.  The center is Chocolate Chip and Wink of Stella.  I also used Old Olive ink to stamp off the filler leaf stamp and used full strength ink for the leaf detail stamp. Next, I used a sponge with Early Espresso to distress the edges of the card stock and DSP.  To add depth and texture, I added dimensionals and linen thread.

The color combinations with this set are endless!  I have seen so beautiful cards and boxes made with this set!

Rustic Rooster

BUMD4726

I have found so many different ways to utilize the Wood Words Bundle!  I needed a birthday card and came up with this rustic looking card!  I got the color idea straight from the picture for this suite right in the catalog!

This card is super easy to re-create too!  So, I made this a club card for my girls!

First, I stamped the floral bunch with Peekaboo Peach on to Peekaboo Peach paper.  I then took 1 1/4″ pieces of Early Espresso paper & the Wood Textures DSP pack.  If you tear slowly away from you the middle of the paper will not show.  I did use a sponge and Early Espresso to distress the edges.  Next I stamped the rooster with Cajun Craze and punched him out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch.  Then I punched the Small Scalloped Circle with Cajun Craze paper.  To give it that extra vintage feel, I crumpled up the paper and flattened it back out.  To give the doily extra fluff, I folded it in half before adhering it behind the strips of ripped paper. I also used the Early Espresso to distress the doily.

I then cut out the cute tag with the tag from the Wood Crate framelit set.  To finish the look, I tied a bow using the Linen Thread!

Carols of Christmas

Carols of Christmas

Are you ready to get a head start on your Christmas cards??  Well, look no further!  You can now order this great bundle, Carols of Christmas and Card Front Builder Thinlits! I had a blast making the border for this card using the Thinlits!  I have also wanted to make a card using the Sheet Music background stamp-Christmas cards always look great with that in the back!

To make it pop, I cut a piece of Gold Foil the same size and placed it behind the Cherry Cobbler piece. I couldn’t stand not paper saving with my Gold Foil, so I cut out a Stitched Shape to use on another project.  I love to paper save with the mat piece-all the extra paper that I can use for actual card bases instead of cutting into smaller pieces!

I then used the White Craft Ink to make it look like a chalkboard for the sentiment.  Next, I double the Linen Thread to make the bow pop!  I love how it turned out!  I decieded to make this a club card too!  Just click on Laura’s Stampin Up website and shop!  There are great new items on the Clearance Rack too!  The bundle code is: Wood 146036; Clear 146037

Don’t forget your bonus coupons from last month!

Cute little piggy!!

EWVG0672

Remember how I like to use the same layout?  Here is another card using the same layout as the previous post!!  I actually was trying to make a different card and it failed.  So I couldn’t waste this cute little pig!! So I just whipped up another birthday card!  You can never have too many of those!

I used the Basic Black Archival ink to stamp the outline stamp of the pig.  If you want to stamp and not include a sentiment attached to the stamp, then use a piece of scotch tape.  You just place it over the words, stamp as usual, and take off the tape before stamping on your card stock.  I then used an Aqua Painter and the top lid of the ink pad to color the image. ASTE7004

I thought the Wood Grain DSP paper pack would look perfect with this cutie!  I finally bought the Classic Label punch and I love how it looks!  And it’s quick too!

Petal Garden Birthday

PVCC1962

I am on a binge of this color combo!!  I just adore Sweet Sugarplum and Pool Party together!!  I made this for a dear friend/customer (that’s what happens in the crafting business-customers become dear friends) for her birthday.  I had to make one because she has made all the other ones in my bin!  LOL

Great excuse to finally play with the Garden Trellis embossing folder again and the just gorgeous Petal Garden DSP pack! I like to use the same layouts repeatedly and change them up a bit.

Just a simple card with lots of texture and elements to make it look elegant!  KXBG5925

There is texture from the embossing folder, the doily, and the stitched oval shape.  And of course lots of dimensionals!

Tuscan Grapes

Tuscan vineyard 1

I was playing around with the Tuscan Vineyards set last night and whipped this out in about 10 minutes!  Love it when I can do that!  I wanted a more vintage look so I used the new Post Script background stamp!  Love how it looks!

I just used a Blender Pen with ink pads to color in the grapes and the wine logo.  I have quite a few wine lovers that would love this card!!

Tuscan vineyard 2

You know I had to add Wink of Stella clear to the grapes right?  Love the Burlap Ribbon and Fresh Fig 1/8 sheer ribbon!!
