Plum Paisley

img_1813

Paisleys & Poises is one of my favorite stamp sets from last year’s Holiday Catalog!  I am super happy it is on the Holiday Carryover list!  I found a super cute card on Pinterest and I had to put my own spin on it!  CASEing!  It’s okay to Copy And Share Everything!  It’s such a compliment to me if someone cases my creations!  (just give a shout out to the creator). This is also a CLUB CARD!!  Yea!! Here is my inspiration card:

Cased card

First: I am in LOVE with Sweet Sugarplum!!!  So, of course I chose this with it’s complimentary color, Rich Razzleberry!  I stamped the Color on Color background with the smaller paisleys in Sweet Sugarplum and filled in with one of the smaller circles.  I then used Black Memento ink for the detailed paisley image.  I colored it in with the Sweet Sugarplum & Rich Razzleberry markers. I wanted a little pop of color, so I used the Gold Wink of Stella on it as well!

IMG_1817I thought a double mat would look great like it did in the original card.  I wanted the sentiment to stand out, so I used Whisper White and then stamped, colored, and cut out the flower shape to add balance.  I finished it off with Gold Thread and Rhinestones!

Simply Wonderful Roses

Do you ever start a card/project, and it doesn’t go as planned?  I do all the time.  In fact, I have an entire draw full of “potential” cards! I finally used this card base that has been in my stash! It’s so easy and quick to make!  I am making it for a SWAP for our upcoming ON Stage local event in April!  (hint: it’s also a Try it Night card!)

First I started with Smoky Slate ink and stamped the big rose stamp randomly on Smoky Slate cardstock.  Then I cut out the leaves with Basic Black.

I used Black Momento ink and the Rose Garden Thinlits to cut out the sentiment.  I love how the stamp set has a frame to make the die piece pop! A little bling and ribbon. Done!

Vintage Carousel

final30

Cupcake Carousel is such a fun and retro/vintage set!  I love this whole suite of goodies!!  The 6×6 paper stack, the stamp set, the colors, and  the embellishment set are just yummy!

This card was really simple to make, but packs a WOW punch! I started off by stamping the carousel horse with Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla.  I used a Blender Pen to erase the pennants on his reigns.  I then colored with Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Soft Sky, and Gold Wink of Stella for the pole. To color his tail and mane, I just used the blender pen to blend the Early Espresso into the Very Vanilla areas. I used the Stitched Framelits-THESE ARE A MUST HAVE- to cut out the horse.  I did flick some Early Espresso onto the card by using a strip of glue dot paper.  You just need to add your ink to the paper, add water, and flick with your finger from behind the paper. Please practice first on scratch paper!  I then stamped the circus tent in Bermuda Bay on Bermuda Bay card stock. To balance the side-I used the 6×6 paper as an accent. Speaking of accents: you have to check out the fun tassels, bows, and other goodies in the embellishment kit!  I used 2 glue dots to adhere the tassel.  I did use the ribbon that comes in the kit to tie a bow through the loop first.

final29

I finished off by using the Tin of Cards sentiment on Calypso Coral.  What a fun card!!

Sad news on the Sale a Bration items: the Card Tin is sold out.  But there are still plenty of other great items you can earn with every $50 spent!  But hurry, March 31st is the last day!

Simply Irresistibly Floral

final22

I have no idea why I haven’t played with Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP paper before!!  I wanted a simple card for the girls at the Cancer Support Community Center, and this was the perfect one!  So elegant, simple, and stunning!

I used the Flirty Flamingo ink pad and the Sponge Brayers to ink up the paper.  I love that you can add as much as you want or as little as you want.  I then used a very lightly damp paper towel to take off the ink from the glossy images. Plus this helped blend the ink on the paper too.

final28

Then a quick strip of Whisper White cardstock with your choice of sentiment stamped with Memento Black ink off to the side. Then I ran the small flower from the Flourish Thinlits with Basic Black cardstock. To finish it off, I put some bling onto the berries of the flower!

Now, I am off to find more fun ways to play with this paper!

Don’t forget about the Creative Kit To Go!  Order is due March 18th-new customers get a free gift from me! If you refer a new person, I will give you a gift too!

Hugs,

Laura

Vertical Garden Kit-Super sweet & simple!

img_1695

The Vertical Garden Project Kit and Vertical Garden stamp set make such a beautiful springy succulent home décor item!!  I added some different color sponge distressing on the leaves. I used Whisper White Craft, Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, and Sweet Sugarplum to give them a more realistic feel.  I am thinking of adding something in the middle of each one or a few.  What do you think?

img_1696

You will need a hot glue gun and the wonderful silicone sheet!  It’s a lifesaver for the roses!  I only burned myself once!  (very impressed!) The box is nice and sturdy and the ribbon is included and has that vintage feel to it!

img_1697

The Vertical Garden stamp set helps you get a 3-d feel with your greeting.  This is a great kit for you and some friends to make together!  If you want, I can come help out if you are local or Skype.  New items will be added tomorrow for the Sale a Bration FREEBIEs!
