I have seen so many of these cute eclipse cards! I finally had to make one! This is the technique for my November’s stamp club! It’s super simple too!
You will need the Large Letter Framelits to make this card. (You can also use any bold image dies as well.) I am a person who likes to eyeball placement of dies, so using the Magnetic Platform make this a snap! I knew right away that I wanted to use this wonderful Year of Cheer Specialty DSP! I just love the thickness of the paper and the beautiful foil images. Another benefit of this DSP is that you get 3 pieces of each of the 4 designs (single sided designs). It’s great for making bags, boxes, cards, and tags too!
- Line up your letter dies on the DSP or pre-stamped paper.
- Run them through the Big Shot and carefully remove them from the dies if needed.
- A dark background is preferred to create the shadow effect. I placed Basic Grey behind my DSP with the letters cut out.
- Mount the DSP/Mat piece to the card base. I used Dimensionals to give my ribbon some room in the back of the mat.
- Place Foam Strips on the back of the letters and them right over the cut out letters.
- A little ribbon and it’s done!
I can’t wait to make some signs with this technique too! Just think of the cute gifts you can create with this technique!
There are 5 days left to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin for the coordinating kit from October. Click on Laura V’s Paper Pumpkin to subscribe now! Look how cute this one is! It’s sold out unfortunately. But you can get the next one that coordinates with it!
I love sewing projects and would love to learn how to make quilts! So, when I saw the Christmas Quilt suite, I had to have it! It’s filled with cute felt embellishments, a gorgeous Designer Series Paper pack, stamp set, and coordinating dies!
This card has a few extra steps, but the result is so worth it! I used a Crumb Cake base and stamped the stitched flower randomly with Crumb Cake ink. I then cut out the small flower with the Real Red piece before I ran the Real Red piece through with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder. (I love to save paper when I can) What is nice about making this card is that you can make 3 of the quilt panels with what you cut out. I took 3 different pieces of the DSP (cut to 3″x 3″) and ran all 3 through with the quilt block die. To make this a little easier to piece together, I used a Whisper White piece for a backing. I glued the outline part of the DSP to the Whisper White. Then I stamped the star portion of the quilt block. I then pieced the paper into the remaining places.
You will notice that after that part is finished, I ran it through the Quilted Embossing folder to add the stitched quilt top look. It’s finished off with 1/8″ Gold ribbon and a rhinestone. I just love how it turned out!

I am so happy that it is finally starting to feel like fall here in Texas! I wanted to create some cards to celebrate the season! One of the bundles that I will treasure for a long time is the Colorful Seasons bundle! It is a must have for a new stamper too! It covers all the seasons and has such beautiful dies to coordinate with the images! Not to mention the paper, color combos, and accessories to boot!
Part of my monthly stamp club includes a technique. The members get a sample of the technique and a small blurb that explains how to create it again. When they first join, they receive a journal to put these in so they have it to look back on for a handy (and pretty) reference!
This card plays up the Emboss Resist technique. I just switched the embossing powder to Copper! I then used Sponge Daubers to rub Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler. (in that order) I started with the middle of the leaf towards the stem. I only used the Cherry Cobbler on the tips of the leaves. I then cut them out as well as one Copper Foil leaf.
I just love how the Copper Foil, Copper Embossing Folder, and Copper Thread make this card pop!
All through this month you can stock up on your favorite Designer Series Paper with the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE sale! (select papers on the list)

I have found so many different ways to utilize the Wood Words Bundle! I needed a birthday card and came up with this rustic looking card! I got the color idea straight from the picture for this suite right in the catalog!
This card is super easy to re-create too! So, I made this a club card for my girls!
First, I stamped the floral bunch with Peekaboo Peach on to Peekaboo Peach paper. I then took 1 1/4″ pieces of Early Espresso paper & the Wood Textures DSP pack. If you tear slowly away from you the middle of the paper will not show. I did use a sponge and Early Espresso to distress the edges. Next I stamped the rooster with Cajun Craze and punched him out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch. Then I punched the Small Scalloped Circle with Cajun Craze paper. To give it that extra vintage feel, I crumpled up the paper and flattened it back out. To give the doily extra fluff, I folded it in half before adhering it behind the strips of ripped paper. I also used the Early Espresso to distress the doily.
I then cut out the cute tag with the tag from the Wood Crate framelit set. To finish the look, I tied a bow using the Linen Thread!
If you love fall-you will love this month’s Paper Pumpkin! Look how cute these turned out! 8 mini cards and 8 pillow boxes! And Stampin’ Up! is going to have back to back coordinating projects! Last but not least: This week is the last week to order the Creative Class to Go! Here is the information on what you will receive! September Creative Class to GO!
I couldn’t’ wait to play with the Quilted Christmas stamp set and Quilt Builder dies! We went on our annual Labor Day craft retreat weekend and I have a TON to show!! That was a much needed break from the long summer!
I just had my Team Meeting last week and here is the Make n Take we all made together! I recommend watching this video that Stampin’ Up! put together! It really showcases the different ways to use this set to maximize your investment!
Quilted Christmas Video
I first ran the Garden Green piece through Big Shot with the Quilt Top Textured Embossing Folder. I love that you can use either side-both are pretty!! I then stamped the quilted star outline with a darker color, Garden Green. Then I used Pool Party and Lucky Lime Twist for the panels. I cut it out with the coordinating dies. The stitched part layers inside the outline die. That is what made me think to cut out the Real Red background piece. I finished it off with the sentiment on a banner and some White Baker’s Twine.
Cute and simple card!! Such a fun suite to play with! It also has these adorable Stitched Felt embellishments and matching DSP pack!
Don’t forget to order you September Creative Class to Go by September 21st! (Gavin’s birthday!!)
