I am so happy that we have the new Stampin’ Blends markers! They are alcohol based markers that make shading a snap! The collection can be sold as a whole set, in pairs, or per marker. There are also color lifters, Ivory, and Bronze colors to make your skin tones easy too!
I wanted to focus on a fun technique this month at club, and used them with the Stained Glass technique. It’s super simple and yields gorgeous results!
- USE the Embossing Buddy!! I usually forget using it, but for this technique, it’s a must. Rub some on the surface of the vellum.
- Next, use Versa Mark and stamp your image on the vellum.
- Use a dark or metallic embossing powder to sprinkle on top.
- Heat the powder using the heat tool.
- Choose your markers that you want to use and color on the BACK side of the vellum.
- Adhere your vellum to a light colored card stock. I used Glue Dots under the wings to keep them hidden.
I also used Washi Tape to keep the sides down and a Glue Dot on top covered by the Fresh Fig bow. I am so ready for warmer weather and pretty flowers! So, you may see a lot of bright colors and flowers coming! After this cold/flu/sick season….I am done!
At Home With You is a classic set that will carry you through many occasions! It has elements of summer, spring, fall, Christmas, and house warming! My favorite part of this card is that you can open the door to reveal the sentiment! How clever!
TIP: The At Home Framelits have cut outs for all the stamped elements for decorating the door. The door has 2 pieces (3 if you count the window cut out); they layer inside one another. The smaller die has one edge that doesn’t have a cutting surface, but instead it scores. This is what helps make your door hinge. Just be sure it’s on the correct side so your door opens correctly.
I used a blender pen and Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Smoky Slate to color in the elements. I did add some Wink of Stella to the sunflower centers and the lanterns.
The girls from stamp club loved this card!

I have found so many different ways to utilize the Wood Words Bundle! I needed a birthday card and came up with this rustic looking card! I got the color idea straight from the picture for this suite right in the catalog!
This card is super easy to re-create too! So, I made this a club card for my girls!
First, I stamped the floral bunch with Peekaboo Peach on to Peekaboo Peach paper. I then took 1 1/4″ pieces of Early Espresso paper & the Wood Textures DSP pack. If you tear slowly away from you the middle of the paper will not show. I did use a sponge and Early Espresso to distress the edges. Next I stamped the rooster with Cajun Craze and punched him out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch. Then I punched the Small Scalloped Circle with Cajun Craze paper. To give it that extra vintage feel, I crumpled up the paper and flattened it back out. To give the doily extra fluff, I folded it in half before adhering it behind the strips of ripped paper. I also used the Early Espresso to distress the doily.
I then cut out the cute tag with the tag from the Wood Crate framelit set. To finish the look, I tied a bow using the Linen Thread!

Have you wondered what to do with our Glossy White Card Stock? I found some cute cards by Patty Bennett and Cindy Wilkerson lately and I had to try it!
When I signed up 10 years ago, we had this card stock. They just re-released it with the Annual catalog, and I am so happy! So many fun techniques can be done with it! This one I am calling Re-Inker Spritz and it is so simple!!
First, you want to pick out 2-3 re-inker colors. Then you want to place your Glossy White Card Stock in a protected area so you don’t get ink/water all over. Next, you will take your re-inker bottle and gently squeeze it while touching the tip to the paper. The farther way you drop the re-inker, the bigger the mess. (trust me) Then take a Spritzer filled with water and spritz until you see desired results. Take tissues (not paper towels) and dab on the sides of the paper where it’s pooling. Let it sit and dab if needed again. To speed up the drying process, I heat set it with the Heat Tool. (DO NOT use photo paper: doesn’t absorb as well, burns/bubbles with the heat tool). Next, I used a artistic stamp and versa mark to make it have some texture. I heat set Gold embossing powder. To finish it off, I added my sentiment and some ribbon. (I paper saved by using the circle punch and the mat color).
Here are others I made while playing with this! I did have several that I didn’t like, but that was before I discovered the trick of not holding the bottle up top high.
Don’t forget to redeem your $5 coupons from last month’s bonus days before tomorrow night!

A special friend and customer requested an in home party! I haven’t done one in over a year! She wanted to show her friends a fun fold-so this is what I came up with! I fell in love with the Petal Garden Suite because of the beautiful rose stamp set, Graceful Garden, and the coordinating items!!
I first used a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock and scored at 4 1/2″ and 2 1/8″. Then I folded and scored them in a valley-mountain fashion. You have to get the Petal Garden DSP pack!! Just beautiful colors and patterns!! Next, I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder and the results are just elegant!
I used the Aqua Painter to color in the images to give it a soft colored look. I finished it off with a sentiment from Wood Words and the new Classic Label punch! And you know if used Wink of Stella Clear on my flower, right?
Thank you for stopping by!!
I wanted to make a quick box to store some coordinating cards! So, I searched around and saw a video on how to make a box with the Envelope Punch Board. So quick and easy! I did stamp on the 12 x 12 Fresh Fig card stock once it was cut and ready to score.
Here are the cute cards that go inside the card box! There are 2 designs/2 of each. I am teaching a class tomorrow on how to put these together! Do you want an instruction sheet on how to make this with pictures? It’s my free gift to you with an online order in my store! Just click on Laura’s Online Store!
